Join the DAV

Dept. of AZ DAV | AZ-DAV.org

DAV is an organization of veterans helping veterans.

DAV Member Advantages

The reasons joining the DAV are as individual as our members. Some join for the fellowship at our more than 1,200 local chapters. Some for the inspiring national events. Others for opportunities to serve their fellow veterans and their families. And many join to continue the fight to support the rights and benefits of all veterans. DAV understands the needs of veterans because we are veterans—1 million strong. We invite you to join our cause.

Veterans age 80 and older are FREE

Are You Eligible? Any person:
  • Who served in the armed forces during a period of war or under conditions simulating war; AND
  • Was wounded, disabled to any degree, or left with long term illness as a result of military service; AND
  • Who has not been dishonorably discharged.

Currently there is limited financial aid available for a lifetime DAV membership for those military veterans looking to join.

Veterans ready to submit a lifetime membership are to submit their application to an Arizona DAV Chapter of their choosing. The Lifetime Membership is $300 (at any age). $20 of that membership fee can be paid by the Department of Arizona DAV office. In summation regarding finances $260 is required by the veteran applying.

Once you have found an Arizona DAV Chapter of your liking, phone or click on the contact email link to let the Chapter’s point of contact know you’re interested and ready to join.

If paying full is not an option right now to join the DAV, there is a payment program where the remaining balance can be paid in interest-free installments. For more information with that program click here.

And don’t forget, your family members are eligible to become members of the DAV Auxiliary.
